Ignatian Spiritual Exercises
I am also trained to accompany people through the 18th and 19th Annotation of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, which are retreats in daily life, the 18th takes place over 10-12 weeks and the 19th over a 8-9 month period.
Both the 18th and 19th Annotations of the Ignatian Exercises involve a commitment to a daily time of 30 – 60 minutes of praying with Biblical material that’s been suggested by your retreat guide, as well as a weekly meeting with them of approximately 20-40 minutes.
Through the Exercises we seek the grace to know, follow and love Jesus more deeply by walking alongside him, through his life, death and resurrection. The Exercises also include an exploration of those things that bind us and keep us from fully following him.
All of this gives us the freedom to honestly know who we are as we know more fully whose we are, what our calling, gifts and sin propensities are, as well as how loved and accepted we truly are. This strengthens our life with God, deepens our love for God and increases our commitment to God.
This is, of course, for our own sake but also for God's sake and, most importantly for the sake of His world.
If you’re interested in exploring this as an option for yourself generally or knowing more about how this might be for you with me specifically, then please do get in touch.
